BIO
Lila Villalobos, more commonly known as Lee, is a queer & mentally ill artist from Florida. Their work catalogues expeditions of the mindscape, their synesthetic & psychosomatic experience. They seek interactions with the viewer to imbibe a collaborative infusion of consent, care, maintenance and gentleness. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with their BFA, they moved abroad, and returned to the US to complete their MFA at the University of Georgia. Primarily a printmaker, Lee’s practice bleeds into bookbinding, sculpture, drawing and poetry. Lee’s current practice is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
